    It should be like how they do it in Sweden, where tickets are based on percentage of income. So if your average income is $1000 and his is $10,000,000 and the ticket is 10% of your weekly income; your ticket would be $100 and his would be $1,000,000.

    So true. When we moved away from England we parked the getaway car outside our apartment. Figured it was worth it because early start. The fine was only £30, much less than we paid to legally overnight park at home in Norway. Fixed fines is no good.

    remember that "punishable with a fine" just means "legal for the rich"

    Unchecked greed is bad. But it's the way things go when you're able to. The 0.1% will pat eachothers backs and increase their own share of all wealth. No-one is worth this much, even $500.000 was an insane amount of money. Strong regulation and taxation is way overdue.

    Bah. Reminds me of Opera 15. (Chromium) We also didn't support Linux. I was working on it, but it got canned long before release. Then I had to work on Mac OS X for a while (worst thing ever, made me hate it). I had a new job lined up, but then we restarted Linux <3

    Let's re-phrase this: "You can pay £10 to continue polluting Oxford's air" It seems quite a bargain when you realise how expensive the societal costs of air pollution are to treat for the NHS Why should our taxes pay for your pollution?
