As a teacher, this sort of thing makes me want to scream. I’m tired of rich people pushing policies for my students that they’d NEVER want for their own kids.

They do it for literally everything. They talk about how college isn't for everyone and the trades are fine careers. Their kids are getting Ph.Ds from Stanford. Etc.

Is that a sincere comment that there is no upper/middle/lower classes or an ironic comment that the future of public school education is more like watching Disney movies for 8 hours instead of attending classes?

The best parents are those who build their kids treehouses, let them play in the neighborhood, read them books, go exploring in the woods w/ them, hike w/ them, travel, expose them to great movies & comic books & natural beauty around them and limit access to high tech. My view

Folks it is the mixture... my kids grew up with all kind of tech but limited in amount and always guided to “real” life adventures as well. Tech like tablets smartphones and their proper use needs to be reached as well as self limiting to distractions. All part of growing up!
