The Oatmeal’s Tweets

Are a lot of these posts written by bots? I got an ad a few weeks ago that said it could churn out thousands of human-sounding blog posts in minutes. I started to assume a lot of recipe sites were just an AI churning out words to increase the amount of time spent on the page.

Also, I know that a lot of people think that Exploding Kittens is just myself and making cat games in his garage, but we have over 80 employees now. We even have an office with things like desks, phones, and toilets. LMK if you want a photo of the toilets.

Last January I became homeless. This January, i'm still homeless but very hopeful. Thank you to all that encouraged and supported me. My busts selection on @Cults3D , including Vecna and Herman, will be on sale for £1 for the rest of January. ♥️ cults3d.com/en/3d-model/ar

I published a comic about Insight back when it landed. This tweet is oddly heartbreaking to read. theoatmeal.com/comics/insight

My power’s really low, so this may be the last image I can send. Don’t worry about me though: my time here has been both productive and serene. If I can keep talking to my mission team, I will – but I’ll be signing off here soon. Thanks for staying with me.
Wide-angle photo from NASA’s InSight lander on Mars shows the area in front of the lander in the late afternoon sun. Two science instruments tethered to the lander rest on the sandy surface nearby. Part of the lander’s robotic arm is visible extending down from the top left. Distortion from the wide-angle lens bends the distant horizon into a curved shape, while low-angle sunlight causes a small bluish lens flare on the right side.

Facebook gets even worse if you try to post a link. They work so hard to keep everyone inside the Facebook walled garden. Any attempts at leaving and you're hit with "Pay $$$ to boost this post."

I posted my "fail whale" comic on four different social networks and compared followers and likes. I know a lot of this is apples vs oranges, but I thought I'd share anyway. Facebook was unsurprisingly dismal.
