There are some downsides to working from home. Distractions are gone, but so are the useful interactions w/ colleagues. OOTH these days I'm surprisingly happier as I spent more time w/ family. Once back to normal, I'm looking forward to working 3 days from office, 2 from home.

You miss in-person collaboration with coworkers on business problems, but gain collaboration with a wider network on what other people are doing, tool tips, etc. This cross-pollination can be great. I love OSS for similar reasons.
