only deepen the feelings of imposter syndrome for potential applicants. It's cool to work with interesting people, but it's also super intimidating.

Yeah! I made the tweet bc I'm not sure if they're a net negative! It's inspiring to work with and meet so many interesting people)! SoundCloud was really bad for this because everyone who worked there was like a Berlin experimental artists / DJ / hardware weekend warrior!
