Speaking Greek Cypriot at the gym. Haven't had a chance to speak in aaaages, months and months. Also now I know Devil's advocate in Greek: συνήγορος του Διαβόλου.

I’m aware of the difference in translation, I just meant the Greek version of the phrase. Didn’t know the direct translation also worked

I'm confused. Based on my Googling of both phrases I see "συνήγορος του Διαβόλου" as the standard and "δικηγόρος του διαβόλου" only appearing as a film name. I am not sure I knew the phrase before in Greek, so I guess Google might be confused, but it's pretty compelling.

It's probably just both though, as you say.
-
OK, I'm more sure now after asking others. I think it's both.
