Tbh I think it's a distinction without a difference especially since ES6. Yes there are still niceties to CS that distinguish it from JS but it's still little more than a source transformation than a truly different language and ecosystem.

True! (I prefer CoffeeScript but write ES6 for money.) Would you say the same for ClojureScript or Opal? More of a stretch, but shadowcljs uses NPM.
