Been looking for a book that teaches exactly that. I'm comfortable with python but I feel I'm missing out on general principles of programming and computing. Sounds like this would be a great resource.

Yep did that too, along with codeacademy :) Wish they'd taught VB or anything in IT class when I was in high school in Portugal, instead of MS Word
