Thank you. It's actually really really really stressful as a project. But the stairs have been the least stressful part by a very long stretch.

I'll tag you when I share a bunch of before and afters! The before was so bad. Rats, so many sewer rats, carpets from 1940s (??? dunno but we found a Spanish passport which expired in 1950s under the carpet), no fuse box... Can't believe we lived like that for 1.5 years!

Everytime I cleaned anything (which was pointless in of itself) I was scared. Especially cleaning the light switches, which were so so so gross... decades of caked dirt...

wow - are you doing this all yourselves or do you have a contractor? We had contractors, though my wife did a lot of the design.

We do but it's hard as he's not very good at all. His men are excellent though.
