Some of my flatmates in undergrad, especially one guy to the extreme, was also very aggressive towards our fellow Hong Kong flatmates. As I, 2nd year, showed around some 1st years (Singaporeans) some 15 year old boys sang a song they just made up that went "ching chong Chinaman".

As I walked down the streat speaking on the phone to my mum (speaking not English), I got screamed at to "go home", spat at, burped at, etc. The public can be brutal.
