Thank you @KateClancy for your powerful words in National Geographic on ridding science of sexual harassers. I wrote this essay a few years ago about my experience with Title IX and @ProfLikeSubst was kind enough to post it. It was wrenchinghttp://proflikesubstance.scientopia.org/2016/12/20/winning-a-title-ix-case/ …

I've blogged anonymously a couple times about what it's like to be told to be silent during a Title IX investigation while the accused continues to retaliate against you in large and small ways. To feel unsafe and be gaslit.

Now I am the target of his rage. Countless men in my field have heard him rage against me and not reported it. It's illegal. It's retaliation. Did you know that? You probably think he's harmless and I'm a bitch. That's an easy narrative, I guess.

Men in STEM remain silent about retaliation. They hear plenty. 'They are just blowing off steam'. 'They won't do anything to her again' 'He's been punished enough' Stop. Everything someone accused of harassment and retaliation says about their victims should be reported.
