Yeah there have been a couple of cases where I think the student just clearly fell apart under the pressure and I felt really bad for them. I think when I did my undergrad CS students had to hand-write code under exam conditions. I hope I'm misremembering because it sounds awful
What? You tried to help women and they rejected you, you mean?

oh and very subtle innuendo bravo bravo
-
People pointing out potential innuendos and being sarcastic/mocking me for them in my speech was really common in compsci. Since emigrating to the UK it's been something that really confused and upset me. It stopped when I left compsci. Interesting that you also did it here.

you literally implied that I wanted to help women and they rejected me while talking about a quite serious matter , there was no sarcasm / mockery
-
And it seems like I was right that they didn't want to participate and you wanted them to. I just used "reject" and you assumed I was hinting at a romantic rejection.
-
my bad then, poor choice of words and / or lack of caffeine
-
Appreciated & caffeine is very important.

nope, not what I meant. I did not try to help anyone, I wanted to get more people involved as peers but we ended up with the same group everytime
-
I'm not too surprised. What's the bit about blame about — who blamed you and for what?
