I dunno what's wrong w me these days (stress?) but I keep forgetting I'm bilingual & I did a BSc in Computer Science. Like for real — thoughts pass through my head: "Oh, I wish I could speak another language super well!" And: "Would've been cool to've been taught to code".

Yeah. Very much. We compare ourselves w/ all our flaws to a vaguely defined and wispy ideal of a hypothetical hyperspecialist and ask ourselves why we can’t be more like the wind. Not helpful!

To be fair though, I wasn't really doing this. I think I was in a way and funnily enough, doing the opposite. Norming myself to monolingual and other defaults.
