Don't know about new coding skills but Spanish as a third language will suit you very well! ¡Con tu conocimiento de Griego puedes aprender Español fácilmente! :-)

Yessssssss. So much. Then I can talk to all the Spanish speaking people in my life.
@twitemp1 will teach me.

Right?
Muy peligroso. Jesús Maria y José. Narcotraficantes.
Hmmm. Trying I think of more Spanish that's not rude.
-
Also is that: "if you know Greek you can grasp Spanish easily"?
-

No way! Quieres que te enseñe Español. No jodas!! Te vas a arrepentir!
-
That's too hard.

-
Would you like me to teach Spanish to you. Don't fuck! (Literally) you would repent!
-
No arrepento!
-
Yo tampoco!

Hey, you said *another* language, not a second language. Maybe you should learn another language! Maybe Chinese?
-
I'm honored you think I'm able. I'm genuinely bad at this language malarkey as it is.

-
Oh come now. Including programming languages, you already know at least 3, right?
-
I'm bilingual but then diglossic in Greek. So you could argue 3. I know very basic Italian and French. Programming languages are really easy though. I know like 10+.
-
Also, this fluent conversation we're having is in your second language, isn't it? I think perhaps you're better than you give yourself credit for.
-
No, I'm a native English speaker. I grew up speaking both. My dad's English.
-
Ah, sorry, my mistake. You're fluent in both though, right?
-
Fluent and native in English and Cypriot Greek. But Cypriot Greek is diglossic so I also know Modern Greek too. Complex and annoying.

me: i wish i knew javascript also me: wrote ~18,000 lines of coffeescript & a program in R to generate giant JSON structures for a psiturk/jspsych experiment on 500 people

You're like trolling yourself on many levels.
-
Yeah. Very much. We compare ourselves w/ all our flaws to a vaguely defined and wispy ideal of a hypothetical hyperspecialist and ask ourselves why we can’t be more like the wind. Not helpful!
-
It's a kind of cherry picking or p hacking. You always conclude: I'm shit, others are better.

-
To be fair though, I wasn't really doing this. I think I was in a way and funnily enough, doing the opposite. Norming myself to monolingual and other defaults.
