Twitter isn't making it easy to go back through your TL, so apologies if you've done this already, but can you try putting in some insoles into the shoes?

I always wear insoles with all my shoes. In fact in those shoes I was wearing double insoles, one for arch support and one they give me in the shop which was foam all over the sole. The problem is the new pair they gave me isn't the same as the one I tried on.

Haha, and just my luck a woman wearing the exact shoes I own walking up the stairs in front of me. Hers don't have the flip flop fit I was told in the shop is normal. Of course.

Maybe one day I'll get the courage to go buy another pair.

Really sounds like you were missold them, although I understand returning them may not be practical/possible. Hope you can find them a new home and find something even better for your feet.

I have tried very hard. The owner of the company that runs the shop and makes the shoes called me and was really nice and said they want to sort this out but I don't know. I'm a pessimist and he said he'll email me yesterday and he didn't so I'm not thinking anything positive.pic.twitter.com/hVNU59FbYw

But yeah, I guess I should stay positive.

You've written a really good letter and made a very reasonable request, especially given what your feet have been through. I hope you get a positive response back soon.
