Hmm. I'm still bummed out about smashing my phone screen and more than anything my creepers being unwearable. I guess the solutions are fix the screen and put the shoes on ebay for somebody who has slightly bigger feet and in the meantime hide them so I don't see them every day.

I really wanted a pair of leather shoes and I've been obsessed on and off with that brand and those shoes for at least 6 years.

I might never find a pair of leather shoes that I like and can wear for more than 10 minutes without cutting me up.

I had leather Chucks I liked but they, like all Chucks, fell apart after a year.

Yeah, I kind of avoid chucks because of this reason. My vans are way way better quality. But I kind of count all these within the "trainers" category.

Needless to say, chucks are very pretty shoes. I approve of them aesthetically.

Yeah, I stopped buying them b/c of that. I have one pair of boots I'll have for the rest of my life (Wolverine Addison boots my wife bought me), one pair of rugged hiking boots for snow I've had for a dozen years, and I rotate out new super light "barefoot" shoes every two years.

I have many DMs including one that's not a boot but surprise surprise that's the one I can't wear.
