Something I feel few understand is that unlike them I can't leave the UK for my home country after Brexit. Yes, I'm lucky to have a British passport, but I also have no home. Nowhere I can say will accept me, except London & that's only cos I fought really hard for it for years.

I don't particularly want to ever return to my home country to live. I couldn't wait to leave it at 18...and that was almost 25(!) years ago

After a few decades of moving around, I don't have a concept of "home country". If my wife and son didn't live here, I would go elsewhere, but I don't know where.

I've never lived outside the US, and I like many many things about this country, but it feels less and less welcoming all the time. You aren't alone.
