So ofc, feel free to bash the UK. I do it too. But I dunno, it's lonely when you all start saying "I'll just move to X". Cyprus rejected me as a child. And I took years and years to build a home in London and that's the only one I have. Some immigrants are more lost than others.

I know I'm probably alone in this but I do wish my home country was more of a home to me.

Damn, I didn't realise you had no legal status in Cyprus. At least with your British passport you could move to Ireland and naturalise there, which I am considering.
-
Purely added as a possible measure of retaining EU citizenship, I mean.
-
I will apply to get Cypriot nationality and citizenship at some point as since I left I have been told the EU forced Cyprus to change the rules and I now have a chance of becoming Cypriot legally.

-
Oh I misunderstood - you don't have another EU nationality at all? Good luck, I hope you get it. I'm definitely going to use my old passport after 2019. How did that happen, if it's OK for you to talk about?
-
I never had one. Cyprus didn't see me as a citizen even though I'm otherwise Cypriot (ethnically).
-
I was born there. My mum is Cypriot.

Can relate. Bulgaria's just not for me unfortunately. Starting to wonder about Cardiff too, so overall quite an unsettling feeling. Will prob try London (first saving £££ to get in
). -
Yeah, London is the only place for me.

There are many, many EU families here (e.g. mine) where the only EU language all the member speak is English. In a way, they are in the same boat (well, there is Ireland) but this is quite homeless feeling too.
