Well, to be fair, they put sugar in everything... (once had a kale salad sweeter than most deserts)

That was pretty much my face, yep!

A lot of people are upset with me for saying this about the USA but it's also true for the UK just a lesser extent. Cyprus is the best at not adding random shit, especially sugar to not desserts.
-
Germany is also pretty bad, sugar is usually a reason dark bread is dark... :/
-
Yeah, and sugars make me unwell so I'd like to ration them.

there’s no regular oats in the shops ?
-
I wasn't sure if I had access to microwave.

Let me introduce you to Grape Nuts.
-
Sadly can't eat grapes.
-
That's the fun part! Grape Nuts are not made with grapes OR nuts.
-
I Googled them, I don't think they were in the support. Next time I'm in the US I'll check them out.

*support = supermarket

Swiss Müsli and Whole Foods’ own brand are sugar-free.
-
No. Sadly Whole Foods own brand cornflakes were sickly sweet. Tossed then out. Sweetened with some juice thing, really unpalatable to me. I don't like sweet food.
-
Also to be clear fructose as well as sucrose make me unwell. So not just a personal preference.

There are a handful that don't but you have to look hard. That is why I do not eat cereal here & also spend a fortune on artisanal bread, which does not have the sugar...
-
Thankfully leaving today.

As an American and an Australian and a person who eats food, I say 'bullshit' to all the "Americans ruin every food." Everybody, everywhere, who eats prepared food eats crap, unless they know how to navigate the country-specific-prepared-food landscape. Still, sad for you :-(
-
It's really shocking though. Cornflakes don't contain sugar in Cyprus nor the UK!
