I usually do a post workout protein only. There’s also L-alanine. But generally I listen to my body, if I’m too wiped that means that I’m increasing load too fast or not resting enough. I’m not a competitive athlete so I’m not willing to spend too much money for marginal gainz

-
Yeah, but I was literally with DOMS for half of the days for the past year.

-
it’s a spectrum. If it’s horrifically bad I rest and de-load for a bit. If it’s the usual mild doms that’s what I call the feeling of achievement! -
It's complicated. The research says some interesting stuff but it doesn't seem to correlate with a good work out I think.
-
unless I’m training towards an event I generally don’t push too hard. Many people subconsciously use exercise as a crutch to escape emotions, leading to overtraining and injury. I’ve been down that road. So generally my focus is listening to and caring for your body. -
I'm certainly extremely emotional.

-
I don’t think we’re exceptionally emotional, we’re just more aware of it because as women we’ve been socially conditioned to believe it. Men are very emotional too, but most of their emotions (except anger) are invalidated so they’re less self-aware. -
Sorry, I was referring only to myself. Wires crossed.

I’m dealing with my DOMS with a delicious slice of orange cake in between foam rolling and it’s just occurred to me that this might not be the way to deal with DOMS

-
Sounds legit to me!!!
-
I’m currently looking up info your post gym recipe

it sounds sensible which is what i should be aiming for
-
All down to
@paweljmatusz! I think the trick is to take all these things exactly as instructed, so most right after you're done.

Hmm sounds like an improvement though. Am generally thinking about upping iron too (have a big endurance event later in the year - yes, something that isn't my job which also often falls into that category
) -
Oh, are you a little anemic? Also super good luck with the endurance event!
