OK, but seriously, I had no idea. Its certainly illegal in some areas of London though and it's not allowed on the tube.

Yeah, Scotland has big alcohol problems. We have the toughest licensing and alcohol laws of anywhere in Western Europe IIRC ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Woah! There's places (Norway?) where you can only buy alcohol from the government — no idea how that helps anything of course. But yeah, Scotland. Hmm. Solidarity with my Northern siblings.

I've just accepted that many things in Norway are weird. Like their funny brown cheese and the genius of vending machines on trains.

Woah. I didn't know about this but vending machine on train sounds legit.

It makes so much sense than an awkward trolley service coming around occasionally and bumping into people's shoulders.
