Some people soft block bots but since my follower count isn't important I just ignore them.

I'm worse than you I don't even notice when bots follow me because shamefully I every rarely check my non-mentions notifications.
-
I don't notice either but I noticed this person (bot?) just followed me and it's suspiciouspic.twitter.com/oQxZGfgg1b

Here's a silly question: what's the difference between bots and fake followers, presuming there's one?
-
Bots are usually automated- they are just computer programs, no personal posting. Fake followers are real people who make multiple fake accounts and run them for profit.
-
But a lot of accounts that use follower bots are only partially automated- they schedule posts but sometimes interact, for example. It's confusing.
-
LOL, I just got this, an obvious bot that's tweeting to people who talk about followers.pic.twitter.com/sodMx3hZto

Ah, Twitter is a minefield
