@o_guest just checked your personal website again (basically just because I wanted to check http://olivia.science ) and was surprised by the fancy mouseover effect in the picture :)

Woah, I totally thought it was a Javascript thing and not a standard CSS thing!

This reminds me I need to update the picture I have on my website. I don't even look like that anymore! That picture saved me once at a conference :)

I came to the conference with my SO and they forgot to give her badge (so she could go to the social events) when I registered at the front desk. One of the organizers googled my name, found my picture on my website, and then found me and gave me her badge :)

Oh, wow! That's impressive actually. I once went to a conference and they put Cambridge instead of Oxford (when I was there) on my name badge and they seemed irritated that I noticed. ☺️

It saved me some work and it was very nice that they did that :) Hahaha, how did they get the affiliation wrong? I thought they simply used whatever you wrote in the registration form (which is why my name has been misprinted a few times, before I learned not to use the ã).

I think they screwed up and lost the data. Who knows! I don't hold it against them but it was strange. Oh, the tilde is stress in your name! Just checked on here and it has your name as an example, haha. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Portuguese …

The tilde makes the a nasal! It's a weird Portuguese thing, which makes my name unpronounceable to anyone who doesn't speak Portuguese :|
