      If it makes you feel any better I once ended up in an advanced boxfit class. Instructor made me do star jumps and squats on the side while everyone practised their uppercuts and jabs and crosses etc. Absolutely mortifying. Pulled a muscle & couldn't walk properly for a week!

      I have/had long term DOMS every week for 6 months. I only was fine over the holidays because I took a little break... so we'll see.

      Thanks! I think I misjudged the level of fitness and skill required. It put me off but I did go back to a more approachable gym afterwards!

          To be fair, I have had some really fantastic instructors in community-based gyms in Peckham, Forest Hill, Lewisham.I told them about my fitness levels and injuries and they adapted the exercises for me and others that needed it. Was really great and got me back into exercise

          RE the enforced socialisation, I see what you mean. I was able to take it or leave it. But I loved that I could just turn up and follow some instructions and get all the stress from the week out of my system and get some endorphins to boot. I did get to meet some nice people too.

          It's actually really inspiring! I should do some more exercise. Might be an idea to see a physio as well and ask about the pain if you have not already. When I had/have hip pain, pilates helps. But I don't recall the specific exercises. All the best!

          I needed physio for my scoliosis but not for DOMS, it's just what happens when you take a break. I work out very hard. 💪🏻
