I'm in the slightly weird position that my PhD is in large part building on / writing up work I'd already been doing for a couple years prior to its start, and that a lot of why I'm here is not to do the research but to learn how to write the papers! So yeah, unusually fast start

I'm only three months in and I'm solidly into love/hate relationship. I've been finding writing this paper incredibly interesting and useful, but I'm also going to want to print it out and ritually burn it when I'm done.
