Question for any of my friends that use public transportation: Do any cities have bathrooms or porta potties at their train stations or major bus stops?

I don't know if it helps but in Europe, I think most cities have toiles at their train stations. In some countries you have to pay, it really depends on the country.

So most cities in Europe are that way?

In Switzerland there were random public toilets in the middle of the street, like in a small building, and you paid a small amount to use the toilet.

Most train stations have toilets in the UK, where you pay to enter, but I'd avoid at all costs.

It's true that the cleanliness and overall quality of the toilets vary significantly from station to station. I think most paid toilets are kept to a fairly good standard, but you know how it goes the busier the station the more likely the toilets are a disaster.

So I moved to UK over ten years ago, but visited as a child and teen too, and I've lived in Yorkshire and more recently and for longer London and the South East. I don't think I've ever been in station toilets that aren't terrifying without alcohol hand gel. But YMMV!
