Yes! That's precisely some of the things we should have learnt with a PhD.

😂 I think we are all responsible for their “demise” as we keep using physics as a benchmark to judge the scienciness of all other disciplines.

Not I, but I know what you mean by "we". I think it's inherently problematic to think that physics (or indeed any science that deals with significantly less noisy data than, e.g., psych) is more scientific because they don't (need to) plot error bars. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My brother has a degree in Astrophysics and complained about how they don't deal with (mainly because they really do not need to) noisy date and how to account for it in their models. It's not taught because it's not needed directly but it's a gap nonetheless in their scientific

toolbox especially since most physics postgraduates end up going into industry. He is for example a data scientist now. That is a particularly common example and compelling reason to teach them stats.

Just like in psych we should teach programming more, thankfully my uni does, they should teach some basic stats in "harder" sciences.

It's extracts from his book about his views and actions with respect to women. I don't think it's a good idea to read it if you are feeling in any way not in the mood.

Yeah I already know of his views and exploits on women. What upsets me is how he’s hailed and revered so much all the time. But you know “we” love our geniuses!!!
