The problem with using he/she and a/o is that it enforces a binary while they and @/x allows for gender neutrality and non-binary identities to be clearly included.

Oh and do you think this also extends to pronouns? For example in saying καποι* ? Maybe I have to be more careful for not triggering unwanted associations!

I have no idea on the pronouns thing, but maybe start a dialogue when appropriate with Greek-speaking activists?
