Sorry, that was defo my bad. As my background is in the humanities, I have a tendency to view most subjects as overlapping, as well as a tendency to assume (wrongly) that most research skills are transferable. I apologise, I'm only a postgrad :)

Nothing to do with overlap or lack thereof. Telling me, or anybody, how to use Twitter is patently misguided. Twitter is excellent for
#scicomm ( there's a great community around that hashtag BTW). On a closely related point, Twitter is also great for promoting, explaining and -
discussing scientific outputs. Some of the best discussion about my work have been on Twitter and on preprint servers.
