I’ve just witnessed discrimination against my whole continent from a kids programme

On the contrary, that enforces worrying gender stereotypes. FFS I didn't even mention gender... It's pretty dubious to say that this episode is racist on the grounds that one character says "yuck, africa" when another earlier on says "I've always wanted to visit africa".
-
I haven't watched the episode, but just from "moody" to describe a woman-coded character, I've low hopes. Racism and sexism often go hand-in-hand. Kyriarchy is a powerful drug.

All the characters have alliterated names like that, even the protagonist who is "horrid". eg. "Bossy Bill", "Farty Fiona", "Greasy Greta", "Greedy Graham", "Kind Kelly", "Nasty Nicola" and "Needy Neil" I recommend you read them before commenting... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Horrid_Henry_characters …

You really have no idea what I'm talking about. If I made a character call "Bitchy Beth", that's on me. It's not an excuse to say, but but but the names must start with the same letter. Boo hoo.

-
Why is it so hard to have a civil conversation on twitter, everyone seems to take everything as an insult... "I recommend you read them before commenting..." =/= "you're wrong".
-
If you have this problem often, it's probably you.
