I know. I read the whole conversation (I think). I understand you *mean* to use it gender neutral but I agree with @o_guest that the term isn't gender neutral (the dictionary notwithstanding)

For me it is the mark of a true friend if they'll tell you painful truths when needed. Not to harm, but actually out of care for your well being.

I see your point. But, to be honest, I did not have the impression that
@o_guest had intended snark. -
I would argue there were playful acerbic comments from both sides, but I'm also sorry to hear you feel I acted in a way other than out of respect since I assumed we/I can discuss this on Twitter.

I thought a PM first would be more appropriate given we already have some rapport here. Also Esther’s reaction to the convo reflected she wasn’t quite alright with how her words were interpreted imo. It would make sense to try to understand her before trying to change her.

I’d appreciate if a friend PMs me before they come at me publicly so we have a chance at understanding each other first. But that’s just me.
-
I’ve had enough! Whether I am wrong or not is not a matter of public opinion; feeling offended isn’t either. Please feel free to continue this thread somewhere else.
