Firstly, it's not "my" language by any stretch. And secondly, ask a straight guy how many guys he's slept with. You'll find out pretty quick "guy" primes/is male.

Well, we have a neutral gender in Spanish so in theory it would not be needed, but it is the same as the masculine most of the time, so ppl get confused

I think that's the point in Greek too. And indeed in English. "Guys" is a masculine used as a default. Hence primes male.
