People on the tube today are out of control. A pregnant woman had to offer another pregnant woman her seat because nobody was getting up.

If that works on the tube, I'd be really impressed with you. Nobody talks on the tube at all.

As in they don't respond to being spoken to?

I have only spoken to people on the tube a handful of times even though I take it every day. It's not really the done thing.

ok this explains why last timeI chatted to the lady next to me on the tube who was crying she stopped crying (out of surprise?!).
-
Maybe also because you were being caring!

-
I had just said bye to someone for a long time, and we were both (well I was semi) crying

. I think these tube rules are similar for Melbourne, except I just like being annoying

-
That's cute! I doubt you were annoying — you probably made her day.

I thought (well, for me) nausea, harassment, clear emotional distress, being an obvious twat to another passenger = talk.
