btw about the video you shared in which Cypriots were commenting on their "nationality". Cypriot's accent sounds quite different from the Greek I've heard! At a distance, a group of Greek ppl sounds like Spaniards. It is only when you get closer than you realise they are not.

Yes, Modern Greek is very similar to Spanish in terms of the sounds. Cypriot Greek is different.
