Still staying strong on the one coffee per day in the morning. No idea if it helps my migraines in any way other than creating a better routine. I can only realistically control the time of the morning coffee and not the afternoon one — so it has been axed. It is tough though.

I go with decaf espresso when I want the taste, myself.

Decaf genuinely worries me as I've no idea how decaf it is. It's definitely not 100% decaf.

Also, I suspect that there are other psychoactive substances in coffee that may be unaffected by decaffeination.

I do tow half-calfs with the best decalf I can find. It makes me feel like I’m not restricting myself as much. Third coast coffee makes a good one.

Do you think decaf is actually that decaf? Serious question, because I know decaf is just coffee that has been brewed previously or something like that. So it's never 100% decaf.

Does sound tough. Congrats on the great effort. Of course I don't know how long so far so can't be sure of the effects on the migraines as you said but, the last one did seem to pass quickly...

The coffee probably has a weak effect because I have Medication Overuse Headache (nothing to do with caffeine) — more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medication_overuse_headache …

Oh I see. Going to read @ that link. So with the MOH, is that why you sometimes struggle through the migraines without meds like the other day? Sounds quite difficult.

My sympathies, truly. When I get headaches it's like an extremely heavy crown tightening on the top part of my skull and my cheek bones & eye sockets ache terribly. It actually hurts just lying my head on the softest of pillows.. 🤕 All good today though! :-)

Well this is why I'm going to read up on it. Not sure if they are migraines. They really are quite terrible but thank goodness they don't hang on for very long. I don't know what I'd do! & why I feel for you when you're suffering!
