Most ppl don’t understand data and ppl are busy so need to see stuff quickly and for it to make sense. I use excel for producing simple charts and graphs. But admittedly this if for clinical utility not for publication/ academic/ research forums. I’ve Always had good feedback

It's true, the post doc years are in many ways the golden years as a researcher. From there beckons admin, science from a distance, 'strategic plans', and shit tons of tedious email.
-
I have plenty of tedious email already — so I REALLY feel you on that if it, for example, triples!

-
Such as strange emails using comical grammar and language asking you to write in their journal

YES. Stay a post-doc as long as you possibly can.

What's the difference between PhD and postdoc years in terms of time and tasks and enjoyability?!

3-4 years PhD, 3-4 years post-doc, hopefully both intense but also enjoyable, and then try to get a lectureship and work on developing your own lab; the plan of doing so and how to get there should start taking shape towards the end of the phd

That’s a very idealised career path. Lots of alternatives! My career has been totally weird. Not that I’d necessarily recommend that...
-
I don’t think there is any one proscribed path. Many folks I know I know have had pretty weird paths to where they are.
