We often generate interactive web visualizations with d3 et al, but... I voted for Python (also commonly used) since the poor thing is losing so terribly to R!

I also voted Other on purpose because you put Matlab with Python but also because I had a hunch it was about empirical work, for which I would have probably used R if I was doing that.
