How come if I so much as look away from TensorFlow in Python for a month it just stops working. Jeez. Code that worked in the summer now doesn't on a machine in which I haven't touched anything pretty much.
really appreciate a good tutorial for developing using containers.

I have tutorials here: https://github.com/ngs-docs?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=docker&type=&language= …
-
Oh wow thank you — which one shall I start with?

no immediate answer - have to look at them again - the DSI one should be up to date and short.

Thanks will try to get back to this when I'm done with this project as TF is working now.

no worries / no hurry

I agree. The first step to learn something completely new is usually the harder. Having a really simple tutorial can let you advance faster. However
@PaoloDiTommaso is feeling the Friday evening fever too much! ;)
