To clarify, I didn't make that horrible argument that it's women who choose not to do STEM in the West.

I honestly don’t think there’s any kind of gender parity in STEM in Turkey but gotta look up some stats. I agree with your earlier points but the consequences may not be as straightforward everywhere.

I meant STEM subjects at school. No way are there any other women Cypriots in my line of work.

It's fascinating- since I'm ed psych, these things always grab me, our education system here is very strange.

In Cyprus, the education for my generation was literally painful. I blocked so many things out. when I was about 9 a teacher told me that I can't be a scientist because I HAVE to be a model... in front of my mum! And she didn't think this was an issue.
