I guess you will know this, but perhaps it might be new to others: the high proportion of "blue" frequencies in spectra of LED screens can trigger #migraine in some people. Using an app that red-shifts LEDs has helped some of my friends & patients who work a lot w/ computers...

Yes, in fact even decorative blue lighting should be avoided. I'm lucky not to have visual migraine though.
-
So for example fluorescent lighting which is more blue than yellow can trigger migraine in some people.
-
Certain patterns also can do this, like hexagonal lattices, etc.
-
yep, and flickering screens. Folks: use that thread to get that new monitor the tech department has been hogging for months...

I know this feeling all too well - so sorry to hear! If it is any help, they did clear up for me. It's the worst feeling, though...
-
Mine have been getting steadily worse as we work our way through the different prophylactics. Now on 2 migraines a week. Previously 1/ week.
-
I've had chronic migraine since about 2010 and migraines generally since about 1992.
-
Thanks for the positive outlook though. Might be going up for botox soon.
-
I never knew botulinum helped! But that really sucks. I'm so sorry to hear. Mine were linked to Medication Overuse Syndrome, but I still..
-
Get them with merciful infrequency. I really hope you find a solution. :)
-
Thank you! And glad to hear you're getting them rarely!

As someone who's had a migraine literally every day since 2013 -- I feel you, and I'm really sorry. Very best of luck.
-
Ah, Jade. Thank you so much. Have you found any respite?
-
A combination of prophylactics got the pain down enough so that I can work full-time, but it took years to figure out right combo.
-
Same here pretty much. I've tried all the prophylactics almost though. So much solidarity and good vibes to you.
-
Thanks! I really, really hope things get better for you, and in the meantime: *headache high-five*

If it gets Superbad and you can - you could try to get private Botox until you get the NHS appointment
