I know them feels. In explaining some complex data structures I also faced the “well, that is not perfectly correct” re my simplifications

Yeah git's horrible enough, good idea.

Grateful for decentralised version control and Github, but it'd be nice if it were a bit more like Mercurial. Oh well, I use it.

Git has improved a lot it seems, but Mercurial was designed with CLI UX in mind from the start. More consistency.
