Since most trans people now make a gender-sex distinction, and male & female are typically used as sex terms, should we replace MTF & FTM?

For what it's worth, I'm uncertain myself. They're not words I use frequently, and it sometimes feels odd using them. But vocab is wonky.

I don't think it's polite to call trans women's penises "male". Their whole bodies are female if that's what they are.
