It's funny because to me suffix - logy doesn't make me think science exactly but then again I'm Cypriot so I have interference, I guess.

Philology for ex isn't a science, just an area of study. But like I said I agree with most of your conclusion just not some of the basis.

Neither is astrology nor is numerology. Not all that ends in -logy is a science. Logy just means area of study.
