What angle are you coming at this from?
-
I just wonder why people aren't happy with the term psychology - is 'psych science' really something different?
-
You don't often hear talk of chemical science, or physical science, or biological science instead chemistry, physics, and biology!
-
It's like we've forgotten what the -ology bit means.
-
Well, I'm not sure appealing to etymology (see what I did there) is the right way to do this, but in many ways I agree.
-
Fair enough - let's leave the etymological science out of this!

It's funny because to me suffix - logy doesn't make me think science exactly but then again I'm Cypriot so I have interference, I guess.

-

it's a term that occurred in infosec a couple of yrs ago. I was jokingly wondering if they had heard it an appropriated it for themselves :P
-
Many apologies - it was not my intention to be disparaging.
