I wish I could press a button & everybody who's coding (so all) in my lab would use version control (ideally git) & an open source language.

That's great. My lab has an organization gh account & so we all have accounts but it's obviously not something they use on a daily basis.

It was a different context but back in day we had good results from making a platform central to group meetings & individual discussions 1/2

lot of files which are used for lab wide stuff are binary files. I need to actually explain why that's bad as well as why it's useful to use
