It's a very common slur in Cyprus, obviously the translation. I have been called it a lot and used it as a weapon a lot when I was a teen.

I believe you. You would not believe some of the things I have seen teen boys do in the US that go completely unpunished.

I had a dean who came from a military academy, and when I complained to him about a boy, said: "I do not have time for teen girl problems."
