Flu jabs in the USA are free (??) — we have to pay for them in the UK.

I’ve never seen free flu shots to general public except with medical insurance or for health workers/university employees.

threshold for free flu shots relatively low in UK. I have (relatively mild) asthma, and get a free flu shot as a result.

I pay but it would be nice if we were all immunised IMHO esp. to protect those who cannot get the jab because of other illness.

yep. I guess NICE did cost-benefit analysis and came up with this approach as a result? Don't know how it's decided.

Yeah, no idea. But I would love to pay more tax and get more free NHS stuff.

TBH, I'd love to pay more tax regardless to help the NHS but since I'm a big user it's inevitable something good will come back to me.
