Flu jabs in the UK are free on the NHS to all people who are in an at-risk group for flu! Healthy adults usually ok http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/vaccinations/Pages/flu-influenza-vaccine.aspx …
Flu jabs in the USA are free (??) — we have to pay for them in the UK.

-
Yes, but in the USA they are free to everybody.
-
OK, looks like that's not true — free to all who have insurance under Obamacare. http://time.com/money/3478882/where-get-free-flu-shot/ …
-
Hard to say. Some pharmacies *say* the flu shots are free, but maybe they mean "with insurance" (ie no co pay)
-
Yeah, it really seems to vary.
-
But the "pressure" to get one is crazy. The last couple x I got one I got the flu... 3 x the last time! I quit and haven't had the flu since
-
Oh, wow, you mean you got the flu as a result of the vaccine? Ugh.
-
I mean it *seemed* that way. It's supposed to be dead virus, so it shouldn't actually make me sick... Surely a coincidence, right?

Duh! Can't spell Freedom without "free". Bet you're super jealous of our health care.
-
Haha. It's complicated. Your private health care is probably nicer than NHS. I used to suffer a lot because of how poor the service can be.
-
But yes, obv living somewhere with an NHS is nice. I just wish it was funded and it didn't have all these problems.

-
Yeah chances are youd have medical debt by now. One time I got in a bike accident and it cost me like $500 with insurance
-
Actually closer to 1k. Just to go to the hospital for an hour and they tell me I was fine
-
Yeah, no doubt the USA is fucked.
Glad you were OK at least. -
thx! Funny enough I never paid the ambulance bill. A shady debt collector bought it w/o proof, I called them out on it and they went away
-
Woah! Horrible people! Is it a type of scam?

jabs? lol
-
Haha OMG. Vaccines. Jab = vaccine.
-
So "jab" is another Britishism? If you saw this headline would you just be like: "WTF?!" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-41467097 …
-
I mean I can see what it would mean. We say 'flu shot'
-
Oh! Yeah, we say jab but I've heard shot.

-
The word jab makes me not wanna do it.
