Good idea. But, also curious: how can we get better info of time/work that academia takes? To set realistic times for junior self-eval.

I'm definitely procrastinating 90% of the time & shamelessly self-promoting 10%... which sadly seems to be a key skill required by science?

Even time 'waste' & self-promotion can be insightful. Just yesterday, I found new research dir. from tweeting. Quantification is misleading.

I've found countless papers (and even a job!) from twitter, reddit, and blog comments. Yet I still feel guilty "wasting time" on twitter.

I never feel guilty about that but I do feel guilty by how much I'm sometimes affected by the negative stuff on and off twitter tho.
