I looked at the UK for grad school for a few reasons: I had extensive u-grad research exp, & their programs are 3-4 yrs, but you jump right into PhD. Desk, computer, advisor, and go!

Same reason why I jumped from the US to the UK for grad school! Did my MSc here and now onto my PhD.

That's interesting in hindsight I'd have tried for a USA PhD and probably not been admitted.
